His Story
Shaq grew up in foster care. At 17, everything changed when he encountered Jesus and His Word. That moment didn’t just give him hope, it gave him a mission.
Today, he’s a pastor and Bible teacher who spends much of the year on the road preaching. He preaches the truth of Scripture because he’s desperate for people to know and follow Jesus.
But his calling doesn’t stop at the pulpit.
As President of Orphan No More Foundation, he leverages his platform to serve foster and adoptive families and remove barriers for children waiting for forever homes. The same God who rescued him from the foster care system is now using him to help others find hope and family.
What He’s About
He believes the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. He believes the local church is God’s plan for reaching the world. And he believes that solving the orphan crisis isn’t optional for followers of Jesus. It’s central to the gospel.
He lives in Tennessee with his wife Racheal and their daughter Emerson.
